Akkeron Hotels, which was launched in December 2009, is a UK focused group of high quality, well-run hotels.
The Challenge
At the beginning of 2010 Akkeron Hotels approached Motive Technology to design and build their new website. Their site needed updating to accurately reflect the beauty of the hotels and their locations, effectively present special offers and maximise SEO (search engine optimisation). The website also had to be built to seamlessly integrate with Akkeron’s two existing booking engines and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The Solution
Motive set about creating a site that would deliver a new design, an easy to use content management system, superior functionality and best practice tools for SEO. The team of developers and designers at Motive have created a website that has many more pages compared to the previous site. It also has an e-mail marketing platform, a content management system that is quick and easy to use, enabling the hotels to react instantly to ever-changing market conditions. This also saves the hotels time and money as well as giving them the freedom to fully control their marketing messages.
Akkeron Hotels are strong in both the business and leisure sectors so it was important to focus on the destinations of the hotels as well as their individual features. The link through to the destination information is prominent on the home page and gives guests a valuable insight in to what they can see and do during their stay.
The Result
The old site was replaced with the new one in July 2010 and immediately received positive feedback and response from Akkeron’s corporate clients and leisure guests alike. Online booking is much improved and we have seen an immediate increase in online booking transactions which is great news.
