The Route Development Group (RDG) offers a range of networking events and forums to allow airports and airlines to meet, face to face, to grow existing business partnerships and establish new ones.
The Challenge
“Speed dating for Airlines”
RDG needed a new system to schedule face-to-face meetings for their events that take place at different venues around the world at seven different venues throughout the year. The event provides the global aviation community with the opportunity to meet, both formally and informally to maximise business opportunities. Without an easy to use online solution, the process of setting up meetings and scheduling hundreds of diaries was time consuming, resource intensive and difficult to scale.
The Solution
Motive developed and implemented a new piece of software. The interactive portal provides the facility for delegates from airports to request meetings with airlines who are also registered to attend the same event. The system also allows the RDG Scheduling Team to create diaries and co-ordinate pre-scheduled meetings between all event attendees.
The Result
The new web based system has been a fantastic success and is an essential part of the Routes events around the world each year. Routes world events attract more than 2,500 delegates with over 12,000 meetings taking place each year.
